it was fun playing in some hardcore band. i liked the idea of being part of some community where bands were helping each other, where people in all kinds of different places were doing shows and made it possible for us to tour. i liked all of that but nevertheless musically it became boring after some time. and then it occured to me that even that community wasn't as perfect as it had seemed to me. to make it short me and a friend of mine started a different band, one where we could play fast songs and slow songs, loud ones and quiet ones but at the same time were still able to express our thoughts and ideas and write stories about peoples lives and those of our own. we named that band once tasted life and to this day i pretty much enjoy playing in this band. but every now and then i feel the urge just to grap a guitar and play my songs just the way they've been written. no big band arrangements, no 100 watts marshall heads- just a guitar and a voice telling a story. and that's what it is.
